F1 team boss may face driving ban !

The head of a Formula 1 racing team has been charged with speeding and may lose his driving licence.

Ross Brawn, the head of Brawn GP, whose drivers include Jenson Button, is accused of doing 100 mph on a 70 mph road in Devon on 30 May.

Mr Brawn, 54, from Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, did not appear at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He has not entered a plea and the case was adjourned until 4 September as he is abroad preparing for races.

Mr Brawn is alleged to have driven along the A30 at Sourton, near Okehampton, Devon, at 100mph.

The 54-year-old is currently abroad preparing for competitions in Spain and Belgium.

The former team principal at Honda, worked as technical director at Benetton and Ferrari and has been involved with the sport for more than 30 years.

His team is leading the constructors' championship and Jenson Button is leading the drivers' championship.
